Job Title: Behaviour Support Mentor

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with learning disabilities in a classroom setting.

About the Role:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students who may be struggling with the curriculum due to their needs.
  • Help to adapt and tailor learning from the class teacher for students so that they can feel and be successful.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, colleagues, and parents/carers via email or phone when necessary.
  • Be a positive role model for students and use the school's reward system fairly to encourage positive attitudes and behaviours.
  • Use classroom behaviour management skills to help students demonstrate positive behaviour and overcome their barriers to learning.
About You:
  • You will be calm and resilient when dealing with challenging situations.
  • You will have a positive can-do attitude and be willing to participate in class activities.
  • You will be flexible and able to adapt to the general day-to-day running of the classroom.
  • You will have experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and SEN.
  • You will have a passion and care for children with various learning disabilities.
  • You will have a creative and 'out-of-the-box' approach to facilitating learning.
