Facilities and Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities and Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Magna Exteriors Sunderland. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to plant operations and the Injection Moulding Area, ensuring the smooth running of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, including HVAC systems, building fabric, electrical and alarm systems, and other assets.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to plant operations and the Injection Moulding Area, ensuring the integrity of our processes and equipment.
- Contractor Management: Manage external contractors engaged in maintenance and installation works, ensuring adherence to our policies and procedures.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, IATF 16949, and environmental regulations, participating in accident investigations and near miss reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance, safety, uptime, availability, maintenance, and cost reduction.
- Education: HNC in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or similar.
- Experience: Time served as an apprentice (mechanical/electrical) and experience working with Injection Moulding and Tooling.
- Skills: Ability to work independently, liaise with other functions and departments, and possess good communication and problem-solving skills.
