Key Responsibilities- Validation of contractor-proposed technical solutions
- Management of contractor activities, including buy-offs and improvement of facilities
- Overseeing external contractors engaged in maintenance works and equipment installations
- Inspecting construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with standards and design specifications
- Developing and maintaining the Preventive Maintenance Programme (PPM) for building systems and the IMM Plant
- Liaising with the Plant Maintenance and Automation Team as required
- Maintaining HVAC systems, building fabric, electrical and alarm systems, lighting, and other assets
- Performing routine inspections, testing, and compliance checks
- Ensuring the integrity of the IMM process and adequate supplies and materials are available
- Assisting contractors with PPM and reactive works planning and oversight
- Ensuring the building meets health and safety standards and legislative requirements
- Promptly responding to employee-generated maintenance requests
- Assisting with refurbishments, relocations, and office space management operations
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing clear reports
- Assisting with disaster recovery planning and emergency response coordination
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensuring all documentation is accurately completed and stored for audits
- Adhering to health and safety aspects in all tasks and extending to all affected personnel
- Complying with Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
- Ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and Environmental & Health & Safety standards
- Participating in accident investigation activities and near miss reporting
- Adhering to Lock out Tag out Procedure (where applicable)
- Complying with the Safe System of Work documents (RAMS)
- Ensuring all contractors are signed in with the correct work permits
- Participating in 5S processes and procedures
- Ensuring all team members wear appropriate PPE
- Taking appropriate actions in emergency situations
- HNC in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or similar
- Time served as an apprentice (mechanical/electrical)
- Experience of working with Injection Moulding and Tooling
- Ability to work independently and liaise with other functions and departments at all levels
- Experience with using Microsoft Office
- Professional behavior and good communication skills
- Focused on continuous improvement with a safety mindset
- Organized and methodical with a result-driven approach
- Flexible with good decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Personable and approachable
