We Are Swim is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to join our team of aquatic professionals.
About the Role:
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about teaching swimming and water safety skills to children and adults alike. As a Swimming Instructor with We Are Swim, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons that cater to the needs of our diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Deliver Swimming Lessons: Create engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the needs of our students, ensuring they progress at their own pace.
- Water Safety and Emergency Procedures: Ensure that all students are aware of and can demonstrate basic water safety skills, including emergency procedures such as CPR and first aid.
- Equipment and Facility Management: Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that the pool area is clean and free of hazards.
- Communication and Feedback: Provide regular feedback to students and parents on progress, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Continuing Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and techniques, and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Qualifications and Certifications: Hold a recognized swimming teaching qualification, such as the ASA Level 2 Teaching Swimming Award.
- Experience and Skills: Have a minimum of 1 year's experience in teaching swimming, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical and Mental Demands: Be able to swim and participate in water-based activities, and possess the physical and mental stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
