Job Title: Trainee Volunteer Coordinator


Job Level: Entry Level


Salary: £25,207 per annum (pro rata according to working hours)


Hours and Contract: 35 hours/5 days per week, 12 months


Location: Office based, some flexibility to work from home


Department: Development, Learning and Activities Team


Reports to: Development, Learning and Activities Service Manager


Benefits: 30-day annual leave per annum, 3% Pension


Main Purpose of the Role:


Camden Carers is a charity organisation providing support and services to informal carers in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with carers and gain skills in volunteer management.


This position is part of the 'Time to Shine' programme, which provides a 12-month paid leadership and development placement in a charity. The successful candidate will develop skills to move into project management and work closely with carers, colleagues, Trustees, and volunteers to create a volunteer strategy and programme.

The successful candidate will attend 'Time to Shine' development days, leadership events, and Ranknet events.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop a volunteer strategy and programme for Camden Carers


Work closely with carers, colleagues, Trustees, and volunteers


Support the organisation to identify and recruit more volunteers


Embed equality, diversity, and anti-racism in all aspects of the role


Requirements:

Ability to develop skills in volunteer management
