Community Engagement Officer - Heritage Project Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Officer to join our team as a Heritage Project Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading community engagement activities as part of the Development Phase of the "Unlocking Broomfield Park for the Community" heritage project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote the project and its objectives to Enfield residents and the wider audience.
- Lead on public-facing activities, including consultations with diverse stakeholders, and deliver interpretation and outreach to engage with the project and the heritage.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop a project to memorialise Broomfield House, conserve and enhance the historic Broomfield Park.
- Provide advice and support to community groups and artists, and manage volunteer engagement.
- Ensure effective communication and engagement with diverse age groups, including young and older people, community groups, and artists.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in community or stakeholder engagement within a heritage or cultural context.
- Experience in organising, managing, and delivering pilot projects and co-curated activities.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Familiarity with best practices in community engagement and volunteer management.
