Zachary Daniels recruitment is proud to support this rapidly growing, global retailer in the appointment of a Food Proposition Manager to drive their trading team forward.

The Food Proposition Manager will play a crucial role in shaping and developing the company's various food propositions across their store estate.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the offer is optimal and fit for the future through their various trading models, from curation of great brands to partnerships with food suppliers.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Defining the various food propositions and under what circumstances they would be deployed, including identifying gaps in the offer and providing recommendations for addressing these
  • Enhancing the reputation in food through proposition development and relationships with brand partners and landlords
  • Understanding the profitability of the different food propositions available in stores to ensure the business is optimizing its offer in each location
  • Influencing and gaining support from key stakeholders and teams to continue to enhance the food offer, particularly working closely with the Business Development team around existing and potential new partnerships
  • Defining the future coffee and breakfast offer/key day part food solutions, including the potential for hot food to unlock this opportunity in more locations, and recommending which proposition to deploy in each location
  • Coaching and supporting workstreams through to completion, ensuring the food vision is delivered

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Food service experience is desirable
  • A love of food with previous experience either in food buying or category management
