Breakdown Claims Specialist

Pursue a challenging role as a Breakdown Claims Handler at Jigsaw, where you will be responsible for resolving customer complaints related to breakdowns and motor incidents. This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
About the Role
This is a 37.5-hour-per-week opportunity that involves answering inbound calls from customers who need assistance with their policy claims. You will deal with various situations, from vehicles that won't start at home addresses to roadside breakdowns or road traffic accidents. Your primary responsibility will be to offer verbal support and advice to customers, delivering a market-leading standard of customer care while working closely with our nationwide network of recovery agents and colleagues from other departments.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from customers wishing to make a claim on their policy
- Deal with customers in different situations, ranging from vehicles that won't start at home addresses to roadside breakdowns or road traffic accidents
- Offer verbal support and advice to customers regarding their breakdown or motor incident
- Liaise with our nationwide network of recovery agents and colleagues from other departments
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be an upbeat, enthusiastic, and passionate individual who is committed to helping customers. You should possess effective communication skills, be empathetic, reassuring, and understanding when speaking to customers on the telephone. Additionally, you should be an organized individual who can work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Salary
We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. As well as a competitive salary, we provide a range of benefits, including a death-in-service benefit, company pension scheme, and enhanced maternity and paternity leave packages.
