Head of People and Culture

We are seeking a highly skilled HR professional to lead our people and culture strategy across MJMK Restaurants. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 3-4 people and reporting to the Operations Director and Co-Founders.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years HR experience in the restaurant industry in the UK and will be able to design clear roles and responsibilities for their team, facilitate their smooth interaction with other departments and sites, and set exemplary standards of training and development.
The role will also involve developing a best-in-class onboarding and induction process, working with operations to create bespoke induction programmes for senior team members, and overseeing external trainers/coaches on various projects.
Additionally, the HR Director will be responsible for supporting operations with creating robust systems and processes for team member evaluation, development, and performance management, as well as managing employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, and dismissals.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of UK employment law, especially as it relates to hospitality, and will be able to lead on all HR documentation and compliance across the business.
They will also be responsible for leading on all HR platforms used across the business, supporting sites with training and audit, and developing and implementing a best-in-class employee benefits programme.
Finally, the HR Director will be responsible for all company-wide communications, relevant organisational and people announcements, team newsletters, and supporting accurate and compliant payroll processing.
