The Senior Patient Systems Officer will be responsible for the overall management of the System Management team within Patient Systems. This role requires close collaboration with senior users and supplier account managers to ensure prompt resolution to issues. Effective communication with Project/Programme Managers is essential to ensure a good understanding of all projects relating to clinical systems and the progress and implications on the Patient Systems team.
Main Duties- Provide highly complex clinical application support to service users using the most appropriate method of communication, such as Teams, face-to-face, or telephone.
- Manage overall work packages for the Systems Management Team, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Maintain relationships with senior supplier account managers, scheduling regular service review meetings to track progress and discuss and resolve complex matters that have been escalated.
- Line manage Systems Management team members, including staff performance and disciplinary issues.
- Support the Advanced Patient Systems Officer with complex enquiries, providing expert guidance and assistance.
North Middlesex University Hospital is one of London's busiest healthcare providers, delivering hospital care and community services to the 350,000 people living in Enfield, Haringey, and beyond. Our specialist services include HIV, cardiology, blood disorders, diabetes, fertility, sickle cell, and thalassemia. Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of a range of IM&T areas acquired through qualification to degree or equivalent level or relevant experience.
- Specialist knowledge acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience.
- Additional managerial knowledge in an IT customer-focused environment.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of the use of IT in healthcare.
The following qualifications are desirable:
- PRINCE 2 Foundation qualification in Project Management.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Effective communication of complex IM&T and corporate issues to non-IM&T managers, negotiating with external organisations over service issues.
- Analysis of complex problems relating to service issues, making judgements regarding the allocation of resources for Patient Systems work.
- Planning of projects impacting across the department and organisation, delivery of services for own area, and contribution to medium-term IM&T strategy.
- Implementation of IM&T policies and procedures in own area, proposing changes to and redesigning local IM&T policies and procedures with an impact in other areas.
- Dealing with staff and performance issues.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working at a senior level within a customer-focused and service environment.
- Working with staff at all levels across a multidisciplinary team in a variety of environments.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of System C Careflow products.
- Experience of managing teams in an IT customer-focused environment.
- First-hand experience of the update and maintenance of system security policies for all responsible systems.
