Procurement Manager Job Description

Are you a seasoned procurement professional looking to drive value and innovation in a dynamic organization? We're seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Wilson James, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping supplier strategies and strengthening key relationships.

The Role
  • Permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, in our Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex office
  • Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per annum, plus bank holidays and an annual leave purchase scheme

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management, coaching, and support to members of the Procurement team to deliver strategic objectives
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, including operational and support functions, to integrate business strategies into procurement planning and activities
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of Procurement team members responsible for sourcing and placing orders for goods and services
  • Help create and maintain procurement processes, tools, and strategy
  • Assist business areas in understanding spend profiles, supplier profiles, and compliance to agreements
Requirements
  • Knowledge and proven experience of sourcing and contract management
  • Experience in implementing different commercial models with suppliers
  • Basic IT skills, including Word and Excel
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS level 4) or equivalent level of procurement experience in a complex business
