Job Title: Commercial & Procurement Manager

A leading aircraft component maintenance organisation is seeking a highly experienced Commercial & Procurement Manager to oversee all commercial and procurement contractual matters within the company. This role will support business performance and growth through proactive contract management with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary representative for all contractual issues, including contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers at both senior and working levels.
  • Provide commercial insights to drive profitable growth and support the organisation's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Review and analyse existing pricing structures and competitor pricing to identify opportunities for improved profitability and cost savings.
  • Develop, implement, and manage efficient commercial and procurement procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Produce key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable customer and supplier contractual requirements and regulations, including HMRC import/export and export control.
  • Support sales initiatives by ensuring customers understand available services and project managing the introduction of new services to drive revenue growth.
  • Liaise daily with operations Department Heads to ensure excellent customer service and consistent supplier performance.
  • Monitor the commercial performance of customer accounts and manage additional works to prevent commercial leakage and ensure maximum profitability.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure adequate stock levels and optimum inventory turnover, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement and supply chain management.
  • Maintain a robust approved supplier management system and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Line manage and develop the Commercial and Procurement teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety.
  • Ensure secure upkeep of commercial and procurement electronic records in line with data protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide detailed reports and metrics to the General Manager as required, supporting business decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
