Business Development Manager

VanRath is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and developing a network of contacts to attract new customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategically target and connect with business owners, IT managers, and high-level decision makers to establish strong relationships and sell our services.
- Manage and identify added-value opportunities with newly acquired customers.
- Actively source new customers and business opportunities, managing pipeline accordingly and solely within our CRM system.
- Maintain a customer market intelligence database.
- Provide quotations, relevant information, and data to potential customers, as well as presentations, demonstrations, and events.
- Liaise with other business functions to ensure seamless customer service.
- Participate in relevant sales and marketing events to promote our business.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers and key individuals within the industry.
- Keep abreast of developments regarding IT services and cyber security.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates on agreed KPIs, including sales targets and projections, and the forecasting of revenue from CRM pipeline.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a proactive field-based sales hunter role with a successful track record in new customer acquisition and KPI target delivery.
- Proven experience of acquiring and nurturing new customers while achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- Maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
- Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
- Ability to make decisions, meet targets, and work under pressure.
- Excellent planning, multi-tasking, and organisational skills.
- People person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to network and build strong working relationships with senior-level staff.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be self-sufficient.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Highly competent in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience of working in IT and/or cyber security.
