Business Development Manager

VANRATH is proud to partner with a leading company in the IT sector, seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically target and connect with business owners, IT managers, and procurement teams to establish strong relationships and sell company services.
  • Manage and identify added-value opportunities with newly acquired customers.
  • Actively source new customers and business opportunities, managing pipeline accordingly and solely within the CRM system.
  • Maintain a customer market intelligence database.
  • Provide quotations, relevant information, and data to potential customers, as well as presentations, demonstrations, and events.
  • Liaise with other business functions to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Participate in relevant sales and marketing events to promote the business.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers and key individuals within the industry.
  • Keep abreast of developments regarding IT services and cyber security.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates on agreed KPIs, including sales targets and projections, and the forecasting of revenue from CRM pipeline.
  • Manage all communications through the existing CRM system.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a proactive field-based sales hunter role with a successful track record in new customer acquisition and KPI target delivery.
  • Proven experience of acquiring and nurturing new customers while achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
  • Ability to make decisions, meet targets, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent planning, multi-tasking, and organisational skills.
  • People person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to network and build strong working relationships with senior-level staff.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be self-sufficient.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Highly competent in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
