Regulatory Affairs Specialist for Chemical Industries

The Role:We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist for Chemical Industries to join our team. As a key member of our regulatory compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company adheres to international regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability within the chemical industry, specifically focusing on product carbon footprints. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with our sales teams, addressing regulatory requests from customers and driving regulatory processes and procedures forward.
You will also be responsible for implementing sustainability standards, developing actionable regulatory strategies, and working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the regulatory compliance team to ensure compliance with international regulatory requirements.
- Implement sustainability standards and develop actionable regulatory strategies.
- Work closely with the sales teams to address regulatory requests from customers.
- Develop and drive regulatory processes and procedures.
- Acquire knowledge in projects related to advanced regulatory and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a scientific field, preferably chemistry.
- Previous industrial experience in Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability, ideally within the chemical industry.
- Experience of product carbon footprint calculations, leveraging the Together for Sustainability standard.
- Previous experience of working on scope 3 data collection and integrating the data into the product carbon footprint calculation.
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
