Regulatory Specialist with Sustainability Focus

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Specialist with a focus on Sustainability to join our team at Russell Taylor Group Ltd.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the regulatory compliance team to ensure that the company complies with national and international regulatory requirements
- Calculate product carbon footprints (PCF) and implement sustainability standards
- Develop actionable regulatory strategies and work closely with the sales teams to address regulatory requests from the customer
- Develop and drive regulatory processes and procedures, and collaborate with the procurement team to develop scope 3 processes for the PCF
- Support site engineers and plant managers in energy mapping, acquire knowledge in projects in advance regulatory and sustainability initiatives, and stay up to date with industry trends
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Scientific field, preferably Chemistry
- Previous industrial experience in Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability, ideally within the chemical industry
- Experience of Product Carbon Footprint calculations, leveraging the Together for Sustainability standard, and previous experience of working on scope 3 data collection and integrating the date in the Product Carbon Footprint Calculation
- Ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to occasionally work during weekends or off-hours during peak periods
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
