Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Theatre Support Worker to join our team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our theatre team, ensuring the smooth running of our operating departments and providing excellent patient care.

Main Duties
  1. Prepare and maintain the theatre environment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and well-organized.
  2. Assist with the transfer of patients to and from the theatre, ensuring their safety and dignity are maintained at all times.
  3. Support the theatre team with the preparation and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  4. Provide basic nursing care to patients, including vital sign monitoring and documentation.
  5. Assist with the maintenance of accurate records and documentation, including theatre logs and patient care plans.
  6. Work collaboratively with the theatre team to ensure the smooth running of the department and provide excellent patient care.
