Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Theatre department at the Royal Blackburn Hospital as a Band 3 Theatre Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting our clinical team to provide high-quality patient care.

Main Duties
  1. Prepare and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  2. Assist with the transfer of patients to and from clinical areas, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.
  3. Support the clinical team with basic nursing care, including monitoring patients' vital signs and documenting their care.
  4. Contribute to the efficient running of the department, maintaining stock levels and reporting any discrepancies to senior staff.
  5. Develop your skills and knowledge through training and development opportunities, supporting the Trust's commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Person Specification
  • Proven experience of working in a healthcare setting, preferably in an operating department.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work across both sites, as required.
