Employee Relations Manager Job Description

Alexander Lloyd is delighted to be partnering with a well-known organisation to recruit an Employee Relations Manager.

The ER Manager will report to the Head of Employee Relations and be responsible for managing the Trade Unions / Industrial Relations side of the business, including pay negotiations. This role does not involve line management responsibilities or ER casework attachment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Industrial Relations / Trade Unions experience, particularly within an Employee Relations function
  • Proven experience within an employee relations role
  • Good understanding of employment law
  • Strong communication, influencing and listening skills. Ability to coach, advise and influence colleagues
  • Ability to assess risks, exercise sound judgement and make fair and appropriate decisions
Requirements:
  • Previous ER experience is essential, preferably in a Unionised environment
  • Industrial Relations experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Strong decision making and analytical skills
  • Part or fully qualified Professional CIPD qualification, or working towards it

This is a Hybrid role, split between 2/3 days in the office (Croydon) and 2/3 days at home.
