First Nations Community Liaison Officer

Feros Care Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Community Care Officer. In this role, you will be working closely with First Nations People with Disability to support their needs and advocate for real solutions.
About the Position:- This role involves supporting First Nations People with Disability in the community, promoting strength and resilience, and advocating for real solutions.
- You will be responsible for developing and implementing community capacity building projects that promote equitable quality of life for First Nations Australians with disability.
Responsibilities:
- Support First Nations People with Disability in the community.
- Promote culturally appropriate services and provide support to those not eligible for the NDIS.
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to enhance access and inclusion.
About You:
- You must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Proven experience in community development and understanding of community capacity building is essential.
- You should have exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, along with great people skills and excellent written communication.
- Lived experience or experience caring for someone with a disability is highly valued.
- A current driver's license, or probationary license, with access to reliable transport is required.
Salary and Benefits:
- A salary of $80,861 - $86,849 depending on qualifications and experience.
- $15,899 PA Salary packaging.
