Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant (Band 4)


Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team.


This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team providing multi-disciplinary rehabilitation to adults across the life span with neurological and complex physical disabilities.


Main Responsibilities:


Under the supervision of a senior therapist, you will support occupational therapy and other professions within the team to deliver and provide interventions that support clients with physical, cognitive, and psychological needs.


You will work in a progressively independent manner in assisting the therapists with assessments, treatments, and discharges. You will also be involved in implementing and evaluating interventions, such as supporting individuals with acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, degenerative diseases, or other neurological conditions.


Key Requirements:


We are looking for someone with experience of planning and achieving tasks with others, ability to carry out tasks independently, and experience of working within a team.


You should have good personal organisational skills, including time management and ability to prioritise, excellent communication skills, and understanding of confidentiality. You should also be able to teach practical skills to clients and demonstrate an understanding of the needs of people with disabilities.
