About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gynaecology Oncology Specialist to join our dynamic team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Gynaecological Cancer Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the provision of specialist Gynaecology Oncology care at our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have proven extensive gynaecology oncology experience and will be responsible for weekly oncology outpatient clinics, operating, rapid access PMB and colposcopy sessions as well as MDT sessions. You will join a large, cohesive team of 24 consultants providing general and specialised obstetrics and gynaecology services to the population of East Hampshire and neighbouring areas.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Full GMC registration
  • On the GMC Specialist Register, or within 6 months of receiving CCT (or equivalent) in Gynaecology Oncology
  • MRCOG or equivalent approved by PMETB
  • Completion of RCOG sub-speciality in Gynaecological Oncology or equivalent
  • Candidate must demonstrate extensive skills and experience in the laparoscopic and open surgical management of Gynaecology Oncology and acute gynaecological emergencies
  • BSCCP accredited Colposcopist or equivalent
