Special Educational Needs Support Assistant

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) across the curriculum. Your duties will include providing 1:1 and group support to ensure students' engagement and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEN in-class and through small group work.
- Implementing individualised learning plans to meet students' diverse needs.
- Providing emotional and social support to students, helping them develop confidence and positive behaviour.
- Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and adapting resources.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress and liaising with the SENCO and other staff.
- Experience working in an educational setting, ideally as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their academic and personal best.
