Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual to join our Respiratory team as an administrative coordinator in outpatient services.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the administration function of the service, working closely with clinicians to deliver high-quality patient care.

Main Duties

  1. To participate in the Trust's protocols for appointments booked under the Directly Bookable system and ensure all referrals are available for clinic.
  2. On a daily basis, log onto the Choose and Book national system and print off all outstanding referrals, uploading attached documents to patient records.
  3. Distribute referrals to the appropriate consultant or team member for triage, ensuring timely receipt of referrals.
  4. Update Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and the E-Referral system as required, informing patients of appointment details.
  5. Maintain the E-Referral breach list, contacting patients within hours with appointment dates and times.
  6. Liaise closely with colleagues in the Patient Appointment Bureau (PAB), clinical, and administrative teams to ensure timely action on referrals.
