Low Carbon Heating Training Specialist

As a Training Specialist for Apprenticeships, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering training programs for our Low Carbon Heating Technician apprentices. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that apprentices gain the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviors required to excel in their roles, while also meeting the standards set by the relevant apprenticeship framework. We are looking for candidates with a background in training within the Plumbing & Heating sector. This position will primarily be based at our training center, with occasional travel required to other branches. A company vehicle will be provided for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and develop training resources, including presentations, handouts, and engaging activities. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the training content is accurate and relevant. Tailor training delivery to address the unique needs of individual learners. Facilitate training sessions using diverse instructional methods, such as lectures, group discussions, case studies, and simulations. Adjust training techniques to accommodate various learning styles and preferences. Provide clear guidance and explanations to ensure comprehension of complex topics. Assess participants' knowledge and skills before, during, and after training sessions. Utilize assessment tools, such as quizzes, tests, or observations, to evaluate learning outcomes. Offer constructive feedback to participants to enhance their performance. Monitor your own training effectiveness and collaborate with the quality team to implement suggested enhancements. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and innovative training methodologies. Seek input from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement. Revise training materials and methods to reflect advancements in technology, regulations, or organizational policies.Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant training qualification, such as TAQA. Demonstrated experience as a trainer or facilitator, ideally in a corporate or educational environment. Experience in assessing apprentices. Strong communication and presentation abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build rapport with diverse groups. Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Proficiency in utilizing training software and multimedia tools. Background in the plumbing and heating industry.
