We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing Apprenticeship Training Specialist to join our team at Octopus Energy Services. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering apprenticeship training programs for our Low Carbon Heating Technician apprentice employees.
Key Responsibilities- Training Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive training materials, including presentations, handouts, and interactive activities, to ensure apprentices acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours to perform their jobs effectively.
- Collaboration with Technical Experts: Work closely with technical experts within Octopus to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content, aligning with industry standards and best practices.
- Customized Training Delivery: Customize the delivery of training programs to meet the specific needs of individual learners, adapting to different learning styles and preferences.
- Training Session Conduct: Conduct training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques, such as lectures, group discussions, case studies, and simulations, to engage and motivate learners.
- Evaluation and Feedback: Evaluate participants' knowledge and skills before, during, and after training sessions, providing clear and constructive feedback to help them improve their performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor your own training effectiveness and work with the quality team to implement suggested improvements, staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and new training techniques.
- Relevant Qualifications: Hold a relevant training qualification, such as TAQA, and have a proven track record of experience as a trainer or facilitator, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
- Industry Experience: Possess experience in the plumbing and heating industry, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of participants and adapt to different learning styles.
