Senior Care Assistant Job Description
In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the lives of our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to implement care plans that cater to their unique needs, promoting independence and dignity. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, ensuring that they maintain the highest standards of care and adhere to our policies and procedures. Your expertise in recognizing signs of potential abuse, harm, or neglect will be invaluable in preventing and addressing these issues promptly. A key aspect of this position is working collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery and address any concerns that may arise. To excel in this role, you should possess strong communication skills, be adaptable, and able to work under pressure. Your ability to empathize with our residents and their families will enable you to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional care.

Salary and Benefits
As a Senior Care Assistant, you can expect a salary of approximately £24,500 per annum, which reflects your critical role in shaping the lives of our residents. In addition to your salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a free uniform, Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG, and access to a company pension scheme. You will also enjoy 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, Group life assurance cover, and Wagestream – a financial wellbeing program providing flexible access to pay. Our refer a friend scheme offers up to £1000 per referral, depending on the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should hold a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be committed to pursuing further education and training. Your ability to recognize signs of potential abuse, harm, or neglect and take prompt action will be essential in safeguarding our residents. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the capacity to work under pressure are also crucial in this position. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be expected to work collaboratively with the team, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accurate records.
