Sourcing Automation Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Procurement Specialist to support the Procurement lead in delivering strategic programs for IT Procurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing and procurement, with excellent negotiation and contracting skills, as well as a deep understanding of IT markets and services cost models.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the Procurement lead in delivering strategic programs for IT Procurement
- Work closely with IT stakeholders and sub-portfolio teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies
- Manage supplier contracts and relationships to ensure compliance with global strategies and contracts
- Identify and develop opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement global strategic sourcing processes
Supplier Relationship Management
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and assessing suppliers, preparing and managing supplier selection processes, and maintaining frequent contact with suppliers to review and resolve day-to-day issues. They will also be responsible for building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, developing supplier service levels, and tracking and analysing supplier performance data.
General
- Engage key stakeholders proactively to develop a strong stakeholder network
- Drive best-in-class business processes, tools, and practices, including eAuctions and catalogues
- Ensure that supply agreements, commercial terms, and conditions are communicated accurately and in a timely fashion to operational teams
- Source and negotiate goods and services above €10k, where no contract exists, and that are not strategically sourced
Professional Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background, with excellent negotiation and contracting skills, as well as a deep understanding of IT markets and services cost models. They will also have strong project management skills, with the ability to manage procurement projects with minimal supervision, and a track record of building stakeholder relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and geographic locations.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience in IT Procurement, preferably in a leadership or managerial role
- Experience in managing supplier contracts and relationships
- Skilled in delivering to testing savings targets
- Ability to understand multiple areas within procurement
- Skilled negotiator with a proven track record of driving commercial value in a procurement function
Travel:
The role will require occasional travel within the country and abroad, with an average travel requirement of 3-5 days per year. The candidate must be flexible to travel as and when required.
