Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Site Services Engineer to join our team at NRL Recruitment. As a key member of our site services team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and management of primary building services, including compressed air, chilled water, and DI water plant, gas-fired steam boiler, and LTHW plant, clean/dry room dehumidification, and general HVAC plant, LEV and VOC extract systems, fire detection and suppression systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage incoming utilities, including water, natural gas, and site drainage.
  2. Develop and implement full lifecycle preventative maintenance strategies and schedules.
  3. Coordinate, control, and safely manage external contractors.
  4. Manage major breakdown incidents, restoration, and corrective maintenance.
  5. Prepare and control annual Capex and Opex budgets.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Involved in new plant development activity, including preparation of mechanical services design specifications, implementation and ongoing management of Building and Energy Management Systems, and project management and coordination.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Site / Building Services.
  2. Electrical Engineering experience, including LV distribution and BMS system knowledge.
  3. Demonstrable experience in a relevant site services or mechanical engineering role.
  4. Knowledge of relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance requirements.
  5. Strong PC skills, including MS applications, MS Project, and AutoCad/Revit or similar applications.
  6. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills.
Desirable Requirements:
  1. Knowledge and experience of ATEX, HAZOP, COMAH, LOLER, EPR, Legionella Management.
  2. Experience of Fire Protection and Suppression systems.
  3. Clean/Dry Room Production environment experience.
  4. UK Driving licence holder.
