Key Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Design Specialist at ASSYSTEM, you will be responsible for analyzing and calculating support for Cooling Water Island Systems. You will contribute to a center of excellence for analysis methodologies and generate static and transient flow and thermal analyses using various software tools.

Additional Tasks:

System design and integration, producing, reviewing, and updating system documentation, performing analysis to define system control philosophy, sizing of components, conducting thermal-hydraulic calculations and modeling, and formulating equipment specifications.

Qualifications:

A minimum 2:1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, relevant senior engineering experience in sectors like offshore, renewables, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries, solid background in mechanical and structural engineering, proficiency with CAD software, strong mathematical skills, and skilled in producing technical reports. Familiarity with European and Offshore standards, such as Eurocode 3 and DNV, is also desirable. A Master's degree is a plus, and excellent Finite Element Analysis skills, including in-depth knowledge of ANSYS Workbench, are highly valued.
