Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Bannview House, a modern and purpose-built Nursing Home. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, providing high-quality meals and dining experiences for our residents.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a care home or healthcare environment, with a good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. You will be responsible for ensuring that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for, delivering meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit, and assisting with the basic preparation of food items.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen, adhering to company standards and regulations.
- Deliver high-quality meals and catering supplies to residents, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the kitchen and surrounding areas.
- Collaborate with the Chef and Cook to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
