Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Bannview House, a modern and purpose-built Nursing Home. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, providing high-quality meals and dining experiences for our residents.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a care home or healthcare environment, with a good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. You will be responsible for ensuring that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for, delivering meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit, and assisting with the basic preparation of food items.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with our Chef to maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, adhering to our operational standards and statutory regulations. You will also be required to undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for
- Deliver meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit
- Assist with the basic preparation of food items
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the home
- Undertake any other duties as designated by the Chef or Cook
