About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in a key role that will play a pivotal part in our 5-year transformation program. This program aims to re-write, re-factor, and migrate our legacy applications to cloud-hosted environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications, ensuring seamless integration with our Azure cloud environment.
  • Collaborate closely with our IT Technical Architect and IT Cloud Infra Architect to build and maintain applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Work with development teams, Test and Quality, Security, and Design Authority teams to build and maintain application development pipelines, ensuring Secure by Design and Secure in Practice.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for knowledge sharing and training, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new team members.
  • Act as a master trouble shooter and Java SME, providing expert guidance and support in application development and production support.
  • Execute POCs and feasibility studies to validate next-gen product concepts and technologies, leveraging results to guide business and technology decisions.
  • Work with our Production Service Manager to manage production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving technologies and understand how new technologies can be applied to our cloud estate, driving innovation and growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
