Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children from 6 months old to Reception age.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and be able to provide a stimulating and friendly environment for the children in our care. You will be responsible for daily care and activities, as well as completing developmental reviews. Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage all areas of the children's development within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Compile and maintain development records on children and report to the Team Leader at agreed intervals.
  • Provide a stimulating, friendly, and caring environment at all times.
  • Demonstrate good practice with regards to special needs and inclusion.
  • Work with Early Years and other professional teams to continuously improve the quality of childcare and education.

Requirements
  • NVQ 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • A knowledge of safeguarding children and child protection.
