**Job Overview**

A Behavioural Support Assistant is required to work in a secondary SEMH/SEN provision based in the Trafford area.

The successful candidate will be working closely with Secondary-aged pupils, working one-to-one with a 14-year-old pupil with SEN.

The incoming TA will be working within a class of seven pupils, supporting a 14-year-old boy with complex needs. This pupil struggles to communicate his needs, and can become unpredictable and disruptive when anxious.

Therefore, the school need someone to build a positive and trusting relationship with said student, employing positive behaviour management techniques. Team Teach training would be beneficial for this role.

This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, paid on a timesheet basis through Teaching Personnel until the end of the academic year. The estimated salary for this position is £83.85+ per day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic approach to pupil behaviour, encouraging engagement and progress.
  • Manage disruptions in line with the school's behaviour policies.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop strategies for managing complex behaviours.

**Required Qualifications and Experience:**

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in SEN or Behavioural Support.
  • Ability to manage complex behaviours and develop positive relationships with pupils.
  • Team Teach training would be beneficial for this role.
