Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school based in Old Trafford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, gain experience in the education sector, and enjoy a flexible part-time role.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be expected to start in January and work 3 days a week. They will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities, managing student behaviour, and supporting students with their learning.

In return, you can expect to earn up to £100 per day, depending on your experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Supervision: Ensure students are engaged and focused on their work during teacher absences.
  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities to students, following the guidance provided by the teacher.
  • Behaviour Management: Manage student behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Learning Support: Support students with their learning, providing assistance and guidance when needed.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure all school policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • Passion for Education: A genuine passion for education and working with young people.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Behaviour Management: Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
