{"Job Title": "Sterile Services Technician", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Services Technician to join our team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. As a Sterile Services Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective processing of reusable medical devices. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the receipt, disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, packing, and sterilization of medical devices, while maintaining accurate records in the Healthcare Science Information Systems database. You will work closely with our Decontamination Technician Supervisors to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards, in accordance with our Department's Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the receipt, disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, packing, and sterilization of reusable medical devices
* Maintain accurate records in the Healthcare Science Information Systems database
* Work closely with Decontamination Technician Supervisors to ensure tasks are completed to the highest standards
* Operate decontamination equipment and carry out routine tests in accordance with Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules, Quality Standards, and Guidance
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare staff to ensure smooth operation of the department

Requirements:

* GCSE Grade 9-4 or equivalent in Maths and English
* Some work experience
* Desirable: experience working in a hospital environment or Sterile Services Department
