About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Casual Coach to join our team at Liverpool Football Club. As a Foundation Phase Age Group Casual Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting and developing young athletes to achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver coaching sessions that meet the needs of our young athletes.
  • Provide input to the development and improvement of our coaching curriculum.
  • Coach in a way that encourages players to ask questions, seek feedback, and take ownership of their learning process.
  • Ensure players understand the purpose and 'why' behind training sessions.
  • Provide learning and development opportunities to volunteer coaches.
  • Input into selection decisions and work across age groups.
  • Set development targets with players and provide regular feedback.
  • Liaise with coaches, medics, and performance staff to ensure player development and injury prevention.
  • Manage games and festivals with a development philosophy that is clear to players and parents.
  • Be available to offer advice, guidance, and support to players on football and personal matters.
Requirements
  • FA Level 2/UEFA C or above coaching qualification.
  • FA DBS.
  • FA Safeguarding Children.
  • FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or FA Emergency First Aid.
