About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding East & West Team as a permanent employee based in Berkshire. The successful candidate will work full-time, providing high-quality services to children, young people, and their families.

The salary for this position is up to £48,708 per annum, offering a competitive remuneration package for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide professional assessments of children's and parents/carers' needs, ensuring timely and accurate interventions.
  2. Develop holistic practices that consider individual development needs, social circles, and overall well-being.
  3. Implement equal opportunities good practice and promote it within the team, workplace, and wider organisation.
  4. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, Council policies, and procedures in all case management activities.
  5. Prepare and submit written reports, including statements and care plans for care proceedings in the Family Proceedings, County, and High Courts.
  6. Maintain health and safety standards, taking reasonable care of self and others.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A social work qualification or equivalent is required for this position.
