Social Work Career Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced social worker to join our children in care team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing support and protection to vulnerable youth and their families.

Salary:£35,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role
  • Casework Management: Manage a caseload of children for whom the Local Authority acts as corporate parent, undertaking regular assessments and other work to meet statutory requirements.
  • Policies and Procedures: Work within West Berkshire policies, procedures, and good practice guidelines to meet the needs of children, young people, and their families.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work with children and young people, families, carers, and communities to help them make informed decisions, enable change, and contribute to service planning.
  • Liaison and Partnership Working: Liaise with colleagues in own and other directorates and external agencies to gather information to inform assessment and care planning, joint planning, and delivery of interventions.
  • Performance and Development: Maintain a high standard of performance in response to the team's key performance indicators and identify individual learning needs in line with Social Work England requirements.
