Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a specialist school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN in a classroom setting, providing individualized attention and assistance as needed.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation, ensuring that students with SEN receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement, motivation, and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other support staff, and parents to ensure that students with SEN receive comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Basic knowledge of SEN and its impact on students, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
