Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Hertfordshire. As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students with SEND build their independence and everyday living skills.

Responsibilities will include providing personal care, mobility aid, and residential support, as well as assisting pupils in taking advantage of educational opportunities and pursuits both within and beyond the classroom.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults, ideally in a school or support work setting.
  • Experience with SEND students as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
  • Excellent classroom management
  • An NVQ Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification preferably
  • Experience working with Autism
