Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Hertfordshire. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:
  • Assist students with SEND in developing their independence and everyday living skills
  • Provide personal care, mobility aid, and residential support as needed
  • Help students access educational opportunities and pursuits within and beyond the classroom
  • Forge close bonds with students and colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults, ideally in a school or support work setting
  • Experience working with SEND students as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • NVQ Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification (preferably)
  • Experience working with Autism (desirable)
