Warehouse Medication Coordinator

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Distribution Assistant to join its team based in the warehouse at the Unipart site in Cowley. This is a full-time position, but part-time flexible working options are also considered.
As a Pharmacy Distribution Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective supply of medicines across the OUH NHS Foundation Trust. You will be responsible for receiving pharmaceutical stock, maintaining stock levels, checking deliveries for accuracy, and putting stock away to ensure efficient stock rotation.
You will be responsible for picking, checking, and packing medication to be sent to wards and other areas of the Pharmacy. You will also visit wards and departments on a rotational basis to conduct pharmacy top-ups, ensuring that ward stock inventories are maintained safely and accurately.
Key responsibilities include dealing with telephone calls from wards and departments, and picking orders to supply various departments. The Pharmacy Purchasing and Distribution Team is dedicated to providing a readily accessible, safe, and constant service that meets the changing demands and pressures of the modern NHS.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and develop your skills and knowledge in pharmacy services. As a Band 2 Pharmacy Distribution Assistant, you will be required to work towards an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services if you do not already hold this qualification. The Education and Training Team will provide support throughout this process.
The estimated salary for this position is approximately £24,500 per annum, which is competitive for the location and industry.
