Adults Support Service Coordinator

We are excited to offer a full-time opportunity for an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our team in Coleman's Stairs, a supported living service based in Birchington, Kent. This service supports three brothers who have learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge.
The role will involve working closely with the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of this service, including:
Managing and coordinating support hours and rosters
Assisting the Service Manager in encouraging a solutions-led culture
Providing day-to-day support, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, and administering medication
Acting as the Service Manager in their absence
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships and networks, both internally and externally
Our ideal Assistant Service Manager has:
- Experience supporting people who have learning disabilities and/or complex needs
- Experience in managing budgets and financial information
- Knowledge of sector-relevant legislation, regulatory bodies, and their standards
- The ability to work with the Service Manager to manage and lead a successful and positive team
- An understanding of the balance between keeping our people safe and positive risk-taking
- The ability to stay up to date with policies and procedures to carry out and maintain safe and best practices
- The ability to support the Service Manager in recruiting new employees and developing and managing the staff team in a fair and consistent manner
- The ability to work with the Service Manager to reinforce a positive culture of continuous improvement
- The ability to act as the Service Manager in their absence
- Driver with a full UK valid driving licence is highly desirable – ability to travel to the service location and drive the service vehicle/s
