Accounts Assistant Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Assistant to support our finance function in Telford. As an experienced Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for accurately processing Purchase Ledger and performing various duties.

About the Job:
  • Purchase Ledger Responsibilities:
    • Process invoices, ensuring accurate matching, coding, and input into our accounting system
    • Enter and reconcile Goods Received Notes
    • Run weekly payment processes
    • Send weekly remittances to suppliers
    • Reconcile bank statements
  • Sales Ledger Responsibilities:
    • Process EDI Invoices
    • Print, match, and file Proof of Delivery (PODs) documents
    • Maintain the POD database
  • Additional Duties:
    • Contribute to payroll functions, including daily data entry and reconciliation of timesheet hours
    • Complete weekly payroll data sheets
    • Perform bank reconciliations
    • Provide cover and support for the Sales Ledger Assistant and Account Manager as required
    • Assist with the annual Finance Audit
Key Requirements:

We require an experienced Accounts Assistant who is proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. You should have excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Benefits:
