Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CBT therapist to lead our CAMHS service in Bury. As a Band 7 CBT pathway lead, you will be responsible for managing and developing our stepped care, high intensity CAMHS service for children and adolescents aged 5-18 years.

Main Duties
  • Manage and develop the CAMHS service, ensuring high-quality care and treatment for children and adolescents.
  • Provide clinical supervision and line management to team members, promoting excellence in practice and supporting their professional development.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans of care for children and adolescents with mental health needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and other agencies.
  • Liaise with other agencies to ensure effective care planning and risk management for children and adolescents.
  • Promote mental health awareness and support within agencies working with children and adolescents.

Person Specification
  • Postgraduate diploma-level training in psychological therapy with children and families.
  • Accreditation with relevant accrediting bodies (e.g., BABCP, IY).
  • Substantial experience working with children, adolescents, and families presenting with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Experience providing evidence-based psychological therapy to children and adolescents.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and line management to team members.
