Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Connect Plus Services. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering complex highway and technology schemes throughout their entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple projects at different stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Lead the development and implementation of project plans, including scheme development, stakeholder engagement, and resource allocation.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including planners, construction managers, project QS, asset managers, and designers.
- Manage the P6 programme, including identification of critical path activities and commercial management of the project.
- Commission and manage internal and external resources, ensuring quality, budget, and programme compliance.
- Lead on gateways and collaborative cost reviews with the client and project team.
- Adhere to project governance procedures, including preparation of supporting documentation for project gateways.
- Provide routine reporting on project schedule, progress, risk, and commercial status to internal stakeholders and the client.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in highway or structures engineering.
- Recognized project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or APMP.
- Minimum degree qualification and membership of a relevant professional institution or working towards such qualification.
- Broad skills, knowledge, and understanding of highway or structures engineering and associated design areas.
- Knowledge of CDM and other H&S and environmental legislation related to highway engineering.
- Knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of contract.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong safety management culture.
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage.
- Self-aware and adaptable style to meet varying project needs.
- Demonstration of commitment to ongoing personal development via CPD.
- Good organizational skills.
Connect Plus Services is a joint venture project with Balfour Beatty, AtkinsRéalis, and Egis. We operate and maintain the M25, the busiest section of motorway in Europe. Our team requires careful and efficient planning of work to deliver over £100m of annual investment in the highway infrastructure each year, in addition to planned and reactive maintenance activity.
This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project. We expect a minimum of 3 days per week to be spent at our offices, with one of those days based in Dartford.
