About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Food Technology Teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Northumberland. As a member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that bring food technology to life and supporting the personal and academic growth of our students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology to students of varying abilities and ages
  • Develop students' understanding of nutrition, cooking techniques, and food safety
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess, record, and report on students' progress and development
  • Collaborate with other departments and staff to create a cohesive learning experience

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK
  • Experience teaching Food Technology, preferably in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in practical learning
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the UK curriculum in Food Technology
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring young learners in culinary arts

Salary and Benefits: We offer competitive pay rates, with an estimated annual salary of £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience. Our benefits package includes access to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training and development opportunities, as well as potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
