We're seeking a talented and experienced Lead Programmer to join our remote team. As a key member of our engineering department, you'll play a vital role in designing and developing critical game systems, collaborating with our design and content teams, and mentoring junior programmers to help them grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Take ownership of the design and development of key game systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  2. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior programmers, helping them to grow and develop their skills.
  3. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and development practices, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
  4. Develop and communicate standard methodologies to team members and other disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  5. Bring your technical expertise and experience to the challenges of game development, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.
  6. Effectively profile and optimize game systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently on a wide range of hardware configurations.
Requirements
  • A degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years commercial games programming experience.
  • A deep understanding of engine architecture and experience of the full development lifecycle.
  • Proven AI knowledge would be ideal.
  • Design and content team collaboration experience.
  • Advanced C++ programming skills.
  • Extensive Unreal experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills, with an enthusiastic team worker attitude.
  • A logical thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • A real passion for games programming.
  • Experience of leading a team.
